Won't be long now, one more week. We have everyone here on Christmas Eve. That is the only time the Animals talk. You have to listen very carefully when standing near the barn. The santa's on the fireplace were my Mom's, they are VERY heavy, the little light my daughter gave me. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, keep the light on so the Wise Men can find baby Jesus. Nancy, you have the cutest decorations and they all have stories behind them. I love hearing about your decorations and seeing them. Your Santas are so cute and I love your light. It's beautiful. It could even stay up for the winter season, not just Christmas.

Nancy Jo, Love your Mom's Santa's and the cute light from your daughter.
I started a Santa Collection when my Oldest was born almost 45 years ago. I would buy one Special Santa every Year to add to the Collection but once people knew I collected I would get all kinds of them for gifts. Which kind of took away the Specialness of my Collection. My youngest Son...when he married asked if he could have the Collection and it had gotten so large I never put it up anymore, so I gave it to him. My oldest son didn't want it. When I gave it to Shane & Sadie I had 229 Santas and I had given away all the cheap dollar store ones I had been given. This year I added another large one to his collection. I pray that He likes it. It looks like a very Vintage Old World Woodsy Santa with animals around his feet.
Collections are FUN if you can reign them in! But Some times they just get way out of hand. The Only Santa I kept out of my Original Collection i bought when I managed The Christian Book Store and it is Santa Kneeling over the Baby Jesus. That one just says it ALL to my heart.
Love and Hugs, Peggy

Thank you girls. And Peggy that was an extra large collection. So glad your son could take it over.My Mom had about ten of these large heavy Santa's. I just picked my two favorites.
