Here are some more ideas...
The 'flag' is made with heart shaped yoyos... but would look just as cute with small round yoyos.
and of course,,, don't forget St. Paddys Day...

Currently my daughter folded it and has it over the coffee table. I was surprised she liked it! Gave me a wonderful idea for a Christmas gift to make her for a spring / summer bed cover for her.

If you wanted, you could cut the yoyo topper into sections, to make a 4-block or 9-block,, then hand stitch the block onto a solid color deco pillow...hope that make since.

Danyel,,
I laid out some yoyos on fabric and placed lace around it.. to give you an idea for a yoyo deco pillow.. hope this sparks some yoyo mischief fun for you..
you could stitch on buttons in/on each yoyo to make it a wee bit more sweet.

That is beautiful! At my grandsons birthday party on Saturday I was showing everyone the yo-yo piece that I have, it’s on top of the coffee table until everyone arrived and it was moved to keep the cake icing off of it. It sparked many a discussion of how beauty was created in the home before the days of every thing being made to be disposable. I believe a few family members will be trying their hands at yo-yo making themselves.

You can buy YOYO templetes by Clover.. but I can whip them up faster free hand.. but that being said,, I have the Heart shaped YOYO template by Clover. That is what I used to make the Shamrock (3-leaf clover) from.

Ok,, now to decide which one to do..
use a simple doily and add some yoyos...
or recycle an old hand stitched doily..
I was going to sew on buttons, but the buttons weigh it down to much.

I am going to make a 'Fly Fishing ' themed table topper for a pal of mine who is an avid fly fisher woman..
I have about 48 more yoyos to stitch and then I can assemble..

I actually saw a yo yo vest in an antique store. It smelled a bit musty but I thought of you when I seen it Grace! That's going to be a great table topper for your friend.
I had to laugh. I went to put on my good coat the other and day and look what I took off from it:
All this time we've been talking about yo yo's and I've had a yo yo snowman on my coat for months!!!

Hi Terri,, every year around this time,, we pick a topic,, like quilting or aprons or yoyos... etc., to make in celebration of MaryJanes upcoming birthday in May..
This years theme is YoYos,, so we chat about yoyo projects, share ideas and get crafty..
If you go to #2, We Decree, It's Jubilee,, it will fill you in..
Have fun making yoyos and if you make a project, share a photo with us..

Grace, thank you for sharing the pinterest visual on how to make a yo yo! While I'm a very amateur seamstress, I've never made a yo yo! Isn't that sad? I will be trying some this weekend as I've had all my seeing stuuff out this last week making a quilt throw from some of my scraps and face masks of course!

Welcome Terri to our MJF Chatroom!! I see that you are relatively new so I wanted to jump in and say Hello from Florida!!
Grace, I like that fabric for fly fishing yo-yos for your friend. I bet she is going to love whatever you end up making her too. Fly fishing is a specialty I know nothing about, but am always fascinated with all the fancy flies that are used. A while back when we visited Yellowstone state park, there was a little store dedicated to nothing but flies for fly fishing visitors. I listened in on a conversation the clerk had with a customer and was in awe! Who knew??!!
Heather, that snow man on your coat is very cute and what a darling gift it would make for a friend who actually gets to see snow! It was 90 here today and the thought of snow sounds very appealing!! LOL!!
