Well tomorrow is "Wear'in of the Green".. St. Patricks Day.. I think most of us are going to keep a low profile tomorrow due to the COVID-19 virus,, but that doesn't mean we can't wear green and eat St. Patty's day food and drink.. So,,, tomorrow, I will make 'Green (scrambled) Eggs & Ham' for breakfast.. How will you celebrate?

We aren't Irish or Catholic for that matter but I did buy some Irish sausages that I plan to fry up with some eggs.I also have some homemade multi-grain soda bread that I made a few days ago. Enjoy your celebration!

Well, I broke out MY Bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream last night and made myself a Hot Choc. with a bit of Irish Cream. It was perfect for a very cold and windy night. I am partly Irish but I don't usually do much celebrating of it. So, I will just be happy with another wee bit of my Baily's Irish Creme. I buy one bottle a year at Christmas when I can get it for a good price.
I love how cute the Irish Cows are Grace.
You all have a Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

We will have corned beef and cabbage, though if I don't go to the grocery store we won't be having the cabbage! I make it often through the year as we love corned beef. I made bangers and mash last year. Pretty good! I will also have soda bread.
We are Irish but not Catholic so we always pull out our orange and I usually add touches of green. Here's a photo of the some of the green I added.

So tomorrow is St Paddy Day guess I better fix me a wee bit of green to pin to my apron. Come to think of it I have a green apron so I'll just wear it. Can check wearing of green off my to-do list. Now for a little something Irish to sip on - I've been celebrating being Irish all month long so have sipped all my Irish single malt whisky - good to the last drop. Have a bottle of California semi-dry sherry - if I tie a green ribbon on it do you think it can pass for Irish?

Fortunately I bought a big corned beef brisket two weeks ago along with cabbage and there are potatoes in the pantry so we are all set for dinner tomorrow. I will drive DH crazy playing all my Irish music and singing along with my tone deaf voice while I bake bread.

Denise, your nails are beautiful! It’s been years since I have done anything fancy with my nails like that. My daughter and I are just going to paint our nails green today. Plus I had Irish twins shirts made for my boys to wear tomorrow and got an adorable St. Patrick’s day outfit and bow for Everleigh. I’ll get a picture of them tomorrow and share with you all!

Top o' the morning to you ladies. Brisket is in the crockpot. Going to let thing go all day and enjoy all it's juicy goodness this evening! I did pull out my orange but I have my green sweater on over top of it. Did my toenails with polish called Clover and Out. It's dark green with little shamrocks on it. heehee Unfortunately, I have to venture out to the grocer's today. Hoping it's not an ordeal because I don't need much. Enjoy your day ladies!!

Grace my favorite way to have green -lime- jello is with grated raw carrots. Recipe has been around since 1950s. A dollop of sour cream on top is tasty.

Hi all,
Happy St. Patricks! Our community is pretty closed up. No school, no restaurants open, no municipal office, and my hubs is on a work from home schedule. We have had corned beef the last two days (okay, I am now good on that for another year). Making green pea soup for dinner tonight! Yummy!
I am watching tv, reading, knitting, crafting and watching movies. BUT I am wearing a green t-shirt!
Love you all!

Grace, I have to say that your green jello sure is GREEN!!! It has been a long time since I have had green jello too. My Mom used to add canned crushed pineapple and grated carrots for a salad at dinner and it was really good.

We never had Jello at home,, the only time I got it was either at school in the lunch cafeteria or at a friends house.. My mom was not familiar with Jello, fish sticks nor corn on the cob.. back in those days in Germany, corn was considered pig feed.. Even tho Dad would make corn on the cob occasionally,, mom would not eat it!
Needless to say.. I LUV all 3!
Happy St. Patrick's DAy to you all... even if you are not Irish :>)

As promised here are my Irish Triplets in their adorable outfits! Getting them to all smile and look at the same time is a difficult task. Maybe next year lol.
And of course I have to share this one of my baby girl, because she is just so sassy!

Krista, Are your boys really Irish twins, born the same year? My Husband JT and his brother are Irish twins.

Denise yes they are! They are 11 months apart. They aren’t born in the same calendar year, but from what I have read it still counts. Tilton was born December 2015 and Stryder was born November 2016. And Everleigh was born April of 2018. I had a 2 year old, 1 year old, and newborn. The definition of Irish Triplets are 3 children born to the same mom within 3 years. So I now have Irish Triplets! Does your husband like it? I swear some days they are the best of friends and others they are the worst of enemies! Lol it is getting easier though!

JT was born in February and his brother was born in December same year. They seem to enjoy it now. When they were younger I guess you never saw one without the other according to his family.
My mom and her younger sister were Irish twins. One born in January the other in November. They are also irish triplets as her older sister was born the January before. ~Denise Sister #43~1/18/2007
