Recently, Darlene, aka Healing Touch, hosted a 'Mug Rug' swap..
What a wonderful way to use up some scrap fabric..
Go figure (nearly) after the swap, I came into possession of this cool book!
Here are just a few of the cute ideas...
what a great way to use up fabric scraps..
Maybe, after I finish up a few more yoyo bunnies,, I will try my hand at some of these..

These mug rugs are gorgeous! I love how they use scraps up to make something so pretty and useful. Thanks for sharing these ideas too. With your new embroidery machine, I bet you could make a ton of these with all sorts o cute embroidered accents.

I have a mug rug folder on pintrest of so many ideas. I should look at it and actually make some!!

I like them because, for the most part, they are easy peasy and quick to make.
I use 'Thinsulate' for in between the outside fabrics,, It has batting on one side and silver heart deflector piece on the otherside.
I have used double layers of felt as well... either way works out fine,, just don't make the mug rug to puffy...
