I have started this new thread to replace the old one which was just too full.

Here is something I'm working on.

I'm using fabric from the fabric swaps.

I’m stitching a camping themed piece of fabric. I think it’s an oversized tea towel.

I'm working on Crooked Courthouse Steps blocks for my new bedroom quilt. I'm using Bonnie Hunter's free pattern on her blog.

I am being a Lazy Slug today... how's that for being crafty?
LOL! Snorks-n-giggles!

Actually, I am going through a few sewing project ideas to keep me busy... I still need to get into town to buy backing fabric for a few UFO's...

Happy Memorial Day to you all.

Several years ago we went to an archery shoot near Petaluma. It was hot here at home so we didn't think to bring jackets. We got there and froze our fannies off so took a little trip to Target. No jackets or sweaters to be had but in the mens department they had some sweatshirts leftover from winter -- all size 3XXX, Move forward several months and my quilt guild had a class on remodeling sweatshirts so I took the gigantic sweatshirt and with much confusion and seam ripping I got the trim around the collar and down the front. It was a traumatic experience so I just hung it in the closet and forgot it. I brought it out this week, cut the sleeves down to my size and finally did the cuffs. Another UFO done!

Today was a frustration day. We are trying to find a paint for our bedroom. We got a sample of one I found in the Sherwin-Williams brochure, and it looks nothing like the picture when Ed put some on the walls. It is supposed to look be a nice light green, and looks more grey in the lighting we have. Today we went and picked out another with a bit more green in it and got a sample, and it is too green. GRRRR! The farmhouse I am selling has a green in all the rooms, and Ed and I like it, but have no idea what color it is. There MAY be an old can of the paint in the garage there and we will look for it maybe tomorrow.

I did get a little sewing done on the Crooked Courthouse Steps blocks.

I'm in!!!! Lazy couple of days here. Made a few more masks and needed to clean up before starting another project. Was looking at a few items that have been hanging around in the craft room, found one I want to start working on but in the hundreds of pieces of material that I had not one piece big enough to make the item. So, I decided to finish reading a book I've been working on for a couple of months. Finished that, will head out today (mask on) to pick up enough material to start working on my project.

Grace, please add me to the club! Lol my whole weekend was in slug mode. I couldn’t seem to find any motivation to work on anything. I did purchase some flowers and need to get them moved over to their pots. I just need some more soil. Other then that no crafting was done. Time to get back at it.

OK,, so today I spent a wee bit of time in my sewing room...

I brought a vase of fresh Lilacs in...

does that count???
lol!

notice all the 'memory sticks'... I down loaded all my embroidery machine patterns onto them... but I need about 4 more sticks....
then I won't have to pull out my lap top into my sewing room every time I need to download a pattern to sew..
Easy Peasy...

I spent this afternoon working on items that I am making for several swaps. It has been raining off and on between burst of sunshine and it feels like a sauna outside. Good day to be in the Ac and just craft away!

Last night, I started rereading MaryJane's idea book and started a list of topics to look up more information about. This is why I love all of her books. They are treasure troves of great ideas, history, and basic Farmgirl projects and recipes. I think this is about the 6th time I have read this book in the past decade!! If you have never ordered one, it is just the best!! It also gives you a real back story of how the Farmgirl concept , magazine, and Chatroom came about.

Working on some small quilt projects for gifts.

Grace Your little mini aprons are too cute! Think I'm going to have to pull out my scraps and make a few!

I was thinking the same thing. They are just too cute and I have a bin of fabric scraps and nowhere to go. Are they supposed to be any certain size?

Judith -
The mini aprons are various sizes. I hosted this swap for a year or so. I believe I started with an 8" x 5" piece of fabric, turned under 1/2" hems on both short sides and one long side, gathered across the top, added a waistband and ties, and embellished. PM me your address and I will send you one.

Love the flowers! Maybe I need some in my craft room to inspire me! Really cute aprons.

Made it out to get the material I needed to start my apron. (vintage style). Got the material washed, cut and ready to sew the darts when I got an email that I totally messed up my last assignment in a class I am taking about oils and herbs. So, the apron will have to wait as I need to totally redo my assignment. Oh my! I know I've been in a fog lately but I really messed that up.

Apron to continue in a couple of days.
