I loved watching Dark Shadows after I got home from school..

I wish I could be a grandma but my kids have other plans. But I have great nieces and nephews!

Vanessa,, wine in the basement,,, WHOOT WHOOT.. let me put on my tennis shoes and I'll be right over!! lol!
I too thought I was not going to be a Grammy,, .. Then after almost 12 years of waiting.. my daughter and son-in-love surprised us, with not 1, but 3 grandkiddos.
For those who don't know,, all 3 are adopted.
Jada at 4 days old came to their hearts and home, and then Soleil, who was 8mo, and Aiden at 1 1/2 years old... but they didn't stop there,, They rescued a total of 7 goats, 2 sheep, 2 mini piggys,, 8 dogs (some have now crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.. and about a dozen kitties... They have hearts as big as the moon!

An upcoming fair has the usual baking and canning competitions. As I was looking through the sewing and craft categories I noticed "upcycling" and thought of the train cases. Now Pinkie has been given some frills and ribbons to make her purdy. I'm also finishing up my latest quilt and gathering antiques (50 years old).

Gotta Luv those sweet Train Cases... and so versatile..
They can be used as a cosmetic tote, sewing case, 1st Aid case, craft case, a pet supply case... etc...

I applied a pink floral print fabric to the inside using ModPodge, and will try to paint around the mirror in the lid.
Not sure what I'll put in it, I no longer hoard chocolate! Because of the fringe I'll need to keep it away from my Rambunctious Rose dog.

Last but not least, for today…
I am making a deco pillow for my grand girlie.. I need to sew the backing on and add a
lace ruffle, stuff it and then I can give it to her.
It’s a „bits & pieces“ scrappy top with decorative stitching.
Hope she will like it after I finish it.

Before I left for Albuquerque I made 10 microwave bowl potholders, 2 nurses hats, and 4 dish drainer quilts for gifts to take with me. Got them done pretty quickly.
