Recently widowed and I am lonely beyond words. I feel forgotten by everyone. Would appreciate any words of encouragement and especially from anyone who has gone thru this. Thank you.

I am so sorry Rose that you are feeling so lonely, I can't imagine life without my husband, children or extended family. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Not knowing the area you live or if you are working or retired, but I would suggest getting involved with some of the local organizations, church or city activities in your area. Do you sew, quilt, knit, crochet, read, etc. There are pretty much clubs or leagues for pretty much everything these days whether online or in person. Maybe push yourself out of your comfort zone by learning something new. MJF has opportunities to participate in pen pals, swaps, book clubs, earning badges and daily general discussions. It appears that you are fairly new to MJF (welcome) so take a few minutes to explore, get involved, and have fun.

Hugs to you, take a few minutes to morn, and put one foot in front of the other each day.

Rose....I can feel the sadness in your words. Isn't it funny how farmgirls can connect hearts through a forum? I was there we would go have coffee and I would hug you lots. I can't be there in person, but I am definitely there in spirit. Consider yourself hugged.

How are you doing Rose? We haven't heard much from you here at MJF, and I wanted to check how things are going.

Thanks to everyone for your support. Just haven't been on here much. I'm doing pretty ok, I guess, just trying to stay busy with my sewing and my animals. Nights are the worst. During the day I keep busy. I know all this takes some time to dull the pain a bit. I hate the isolation that widowhood brings and now we add the virus on top of it. I will try to get on here more. Thanks again.

Rose what animals do you have? I have one dog, Annie, who is my protector and companion. Right now she is asleep behind my chair as I play on my laptop.

Rose, many farmgirl hugs to you! I cannot imagine your loss. Would you consider joining our Pen Pal group here on the forum? (It is under the Gathered Up area, called Pen Pals 2020). We would love for you to join. It is so nice to reach out and touch base with others, especially this year.

I didn't know there was a pen pals group. I used to pen pal years ago, snail mail and tapes. I have a dog and a horse.
