OOPS! the snow came supper early this year and we were caught off guard..
So poor DH had to do the Burn Pile in the snow!

btw,, the truck is about 70' from the fire.. and a water hose nearby.
On the plus side,, it was nice and warm...

it was snowing the whole time as hubby was burning... talk about a good work out... who needs a Gym when you have 'chores'!!!

Grace, snow time is great to burn a wood pile.
We returned home last night to find the fire dept. at our neighbors. Though due to woods all around us we can't see his house,apparently his garage where he housed his wood burning furnace and I believe a couple of restored classic cars was on fire. Thankfully the woods did not catch on fire. We don't know what their loss was burt hopefully no one was hurt. This time of year is terrible with all the dry leaves and such. Glad you all were doing this safely of course.
