Beautiful pictures!

Your recipes finally arrived. Thank you so much for sharing them with me. I have too many Christmas cookies left to make them just yet LOL. They will be the first cookie of the new year though. I'm excited to try them.

Beautiful Grace! Advent wreaths were always a part of our Lutheran churches growing up. Most traditonally German Dutch roots.
My son has been to Germany in the past for work. I have a nurse nutcracker, wooden angel and placemats. He gave his wife a beautiful wooden advent calender for Christmas this year. He also has a large cuckoo clock that is beautiful too! He said it is so nice with all the villages having all their own stores.
Thanks for sharing, it was beautiful! We always sang Silent Night in German at midnight church too! I don’t go to the Lutheran church anymore so I don’t know if they still do.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing,

The season of Advent can be a great time to reflect on the year that has passed by and look forward to new beginnings in 2023. Life Coach, Kerri Otto de Grancy, encourages us to take some quiet time out of what can be a chaotic season to reflect on 2022 and what it has gifted us.

Grab your pen and get merry, writing these 3 lists to help you wrap up 2022.

1. Joy List: 22 things that have brought you joy this year.
2. Gratitude List: 22 things you are most grateful for this year.
3. Learnt List: 22 things you have learnt this year.

Feel free to share some of your lists with your farmgirl friends...

We attend a Lutheran church too, Marlene. We actually had our final Advent service for the season last night. Being the shortest day of the year, we had a service of "healing & light". It was beautiful!
Blessings to you this Christmas!

I am Episcopalian and we have always celebrated Advent too. Now that my kids are grown, I create a little Advent space in my LogCabin with a more primitive look. It contains my favorite Saint Frances, and then many little gifted pieces and my collections. As we progress through Advent I also have St. Nicholas and Santa Lucia figurines because we always celebrated those Saint Days in Advent when the girls were young. The little White angel, who is Gabriel was made by my oldest at a Waldorf School workshop to make Christmas presents for the family. This angel was my present. It is a strange gathering of things but I like to have those important parts of Advent friends visible as we journey along the season together.

Tonight I will light the bayberry candle in the center again.
