Fresh from the garden...
6lbs of Roma tomatoes, a couple of garlics, a mystery chili pepper, parsley and from the freezer, bell peppers and onions, that I previously chopped up and froze for future use.
.. I didn't have any cilantro so I subbed parsley in stead,,

and Voila' 8 half pints of yummy delish salsa... Hubby was super happy,,,
I have a few more cucumbers, bell peppers, onions and garlic growing,, and lots of tomatoes... hmmm, I might have to make some more salsa....

Yummy! Homemade salsa is my absolute favorite. I really want to make some this year. It's been a long time. I don't like very spicy salsa, so I make mine on the sweeter side. Enjoy some for me until I make mine!

Krista, initially it was a tad hot/spicy, and my hubby is not a fan of Uber hot, so I had to add a couple pinches of sugar to tone it down.. lol!
Hubby luvs warm salsa, so needless to say, he has already polished through a jar!.
Tonight I am making Breakfast Burritos for dinner,, my salsa will taste so good on them! Yum!

Grace, I didn't have as many tomatoes as a I thought but I was able to get a quart worth. And its almost gone lol! Now I need to make some more. The only thing I had to buy for mine was the Anaheim pepper. Everything else I grew!!

Ladies---I am in happy gardening land. I canned so much last year that I only have to can tomatoes this year---since I canned so much last year---and because I can---hubby cooks supper of things from the garden---a hard time of harvesting---but I will sure can tomatoes to get out of cooking. Salsa is fun and I still have lots from last year---next year will be a hard canning year again for me---but for now he can keep bringing in the tomatoes and I will be so glad to can them and get my free supper---LOL!
