Yes! I am. My kids aren’t big into pies so I’m going to be making apple cinnamon muffins! The kids have already asked to help me make them. I can’t wait to see how they turn out.

I found this recipe in a magazine gifted to me called apple/blackberry pie and I might make that this year. I have never tried combining these two fruits but blackberries were on sale this week, so I got some if I wish to try the new recipe. Plus, I found some Apple Pie ice cream at the grocery store today and I can't wait to try it out!!

Our apple pie Sunday might be postponed. My son and daughter-in-law went to Indiana to pick up a trailer and the trip is taking longer than they expected. It will taste all the sweeter for the waiting. It will be cooler weather for picking next week anyway so everything will turn out for the better.

I did try the apple blackberry pie and it was delicious! Since there is just two of us here, I used my little pie dish which makes about 4 servings. We also tried the Apple Pie Ice Cream with it too. It was really goo all together!!

Here is a side view.
Did anyone else make a savory or sweet Apple dish that they would like to share? Inquiring minds want to know!!

I didn't get any pictures, but it was apple cobbler at my house - made with honeycrisp apples. Your pie looks great Winnie!

We went over to My son's place yesterday to pick the leftovers in the orchard. Mostly Pippins and a few Graensteins. Due to the drought and heat they were small. We came homeland started peeling. Got two apple crisps done before dinner; one for us and one for son and family. Then we peeled the rest of the bucket and put them to cook. 9 pints of applesauce done at 4am. I slept til noon today. The warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream was wicked good!

Made a French Apple cake. Cheated: used a spice cake mix as the base. It was loaded with chunks of apples, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg added, walnuts, too. No one complained about no pie!

Those look fantastic ladies. We took our Apple Crisp over to share with the kids. It was still warm and very tasty. I used the Autumn Crisp apples. They haven't stayed crispy and I was disappointed at how quickly they turned. Hoping to get something else this week that I can dry and also make applesauce from.
