My oldest daughter, bless her heart...

She was making herself some lunch today so she asked if she could use some potatoes. Of course, I said sure, whatever you want to make. So she had said something about them being all wrinkly and old and I was in the middle of doing something so I really didn't pay much attention.

Then I walked in the kitchen and there are some very dated potatoes on the counter with sprouts all over them. Now, I had just been to the store and loaded up on all kinds of potatoes imaginable (we eat a LOT of them) and so I said, "Ummm, where did you get these?". She said, "Outside in the barn."

Y'all.

She has apparently been eating my seed potatoes.

Don't worry, they are ones I grew and are untreated.

But I thought, well, there goes that part of my crop. LOL!!!

Bless it.

Better to laugh than cry over eaten seed potatoes. Amanda you are blessed to have a daughter that wants to cook.

Lol, so true.

Oh yes, I am! Actually the younger daughter is a very talented cook and cooks most of our dinners which is a *WIN*! I am just burned out on cooking right now. :P

The oldest (seed potato cooker) is now an adult but doesn't enjoy cooking, so we're glad she's making efforts. Even if it results in a lost crop of potatoes. ha

That is pretty funny Amanda! I bet your daughter was happy with knowing that all your potatoes weren’t really all old and wrinkly lol! The best way to learn in life is when you can laugh about it.

This is a funny story and hopefully there will be enough time to make more seed potatoes before planting time! Glad your daughter is fine too!!

Funny for sure! I don't understand why she went to the barn for potatoes. I think I did things like that in my youth too---LOL>

Oh my, well I guess she figured you keep your crop in the barn for storing.
