You know how we all like to get mail. Well I was
thinking, {I DO THAT SOMETIMES}.
Postage is so high.
I have several addresses of you girls, not all but some.
some of you probably have addresses too.
Maybe send a few things out a month or whatever
you want to do. Something very small you made that
would in a envelope, padded or reg. A pretty card,
or a card you made, a pretty hankie. No more then two stamps!
A card with a favorite recipe enclosed.
No rules or time line, just fun to get mail.
IS THIS A GOOD IDEA, OR HAVE I HAD TO MUCH COFFEE?

I love this idea. Why don't you put it on the swap page and see what kind of response you get? It could be a "Happy Mail" or "Secret Sister" or ???? swap. Might even be a way to get some of the sisters we haven't heard from for a while back in the groove. Looks like you already have two takers -- Debbie and me. BTW I didn't comment on the other page, but I LOVE that table cloth and your precious memory of its history.

I try to answer every card or letter I get from a Farmgirl and always include something small I have made. I will go through my Mary Janes address book and see who I haven't written. A swap might be okay if it doesn't have an end date.

I like this idea of yours too, Nancy! Put it out on the swap page and see what others think and how many would want to join in. One suggestion is to run the idea by the month like they do the ATC cards. That way, you can assign swap buddies each month and everyone who signed up would get to participate.

I love this idea. Does it need to be a swap though. Couldn’t we just do it as a random act of kindness and send to who ever strikes our fancy the day we are doing a card. I would love to take a random card to the end of my dirt road where the mailbox lives not having to worry about a deadline date would be an added bonus.

I love this idea. Especially as a Random Act of Kindness!! RAOKs are wonderful. I truly believe you get more than the recipient. I helped a young lady at Hobby Lobby one evening who was short $6 on her purchase, she had a baby, about 10 months, and she looked so frazzled. When she realized she was short she darn near cried. I knew had enough cash to cover her short so I reached out and gave her the money. She was so relieved, that even in this time of covid, she reached over and hugged me.
I don't have many Farmgirl addresses but would love to add to my small collection. :)

Yes I'd do it as a random act of kindness. If it's a swap then it would be a time limit and this way we can send whenever and as often as we like. I have lots of farm girl addresses that I've saved over time.

Glad to see so many think this is a good idea. Once again its just sending
a card in the mail with or with out something extra. The extra could be
something as simple as a recipe or suggest the title of a good book you
just read. With postage being so high, this is a nice way to keep in touch
and get excited when you see a card in the mail box.

Go to the very top of this page, chick on members, find the name and you can e'mail them for their address. I can't send out an address list, there may be those that don't want that known.

Nancy Jo, I like your idea very much. It's something I can easly be apart of since I no longer drive. I have many names and address and would like to add more. Now when a FarmGirl crosses my mind or I meet a new one I will be reminded to send her a note or card. It's also a good way to re-connect with those with whom I have lost touch.

I HOPE THIS WORKS OUT. It's just about sending a note or a card. or even if you want to include
a little something. But I mean little. Cute picture, recipe, crafting Idea. This is not
an exchange of anything bigger then one or two stamps. It's just nice to see something in
the mail box that is just for us.
