Remember the friendship bracelets kids used to make and wear? I bet with macrame making a comeback you could find some neat patterns to make bracelets with your left over thread. I don't know if it would work or not but you might be able to crochet some bookmarks or something little????

I've seen tassels made with embroidery thread but haven't tried it myself.

I was thinking of the crocheted bookmark.

I am always making tassels with embroidery floss,, and yes, friendship bracelets..
Also, you can do small size macramé projects to go over glass ornaments for Christmas.

My Mom used to make us little rag dolls out of embroidery thread. We loved them more than our store bought dolls.
