I love rescuing someone's handiwork at an estate sale. I know a lot of time and love have gone into these projects and I cannot believe that none of their family wanted to keep them as a memory of their loved ones creativity and skills.
A great Halloween saying

Two beautiful home/love sayings

A simple Christmas hanger. This one looks handmade but isn't, but a great idea to make a simple embroidery project.

And these are just 2 of the many I have that my mother made. I treasure all these examples of her handiwork and there is no way I will ever sell them. She was always working on a project if some kind. She taught me sewing, embroidery, knitting, and crochet, among other things.

A needlepoint project. My aunt had made one just like this that was printed on the canvas. Because I played violin and viola my mother took my aunt's project directions and made this picture on blank needlepoint canvas.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

All beautiful, Linda! Such special gifts! I have a very good friend who lives in Canada, and her father used to needlepoint, when he passed, I was gifted one of his beautiful needle points, I have it framed in my bedroom, I cherish it so! You don't hear of many men embroidering in their lives... he was extremely talented!

Linda I do the same, it breaks my heart to see that no one cared to keep it in the family. You found some treasures for sure! I have the exact same one with the houses. I worked on it when we moved into our second home, so it holds great memories.

Linda, those are all so beautiful and so much work went into each one. The needlepoint one is absolutely stunning. Now I want to do another cross stitch project.

Linda, these are all awesome!! Wonderful treasures too! I have done a fair amount of cross stitch over the years and I can attest that it takes many hours to complete those patterns.
