Ruth, Your package arrived today and oh my goodness, I love that you packed it in a old wooden cigar box, I'm a sucker for old wooden boxes, something so sweet and nostalgic about hiding keepsakes in them. And when I opened it up, I was so surprised you were able to get so much inside, the hand made cards are absolutely beautiful - did you make them? They are such beautiful little treasures. Pens, stickers, note cards, stamps, stickies, tea and there "was" chocolate, however, it only exists in the below photo now! LOL! Last but not least, your sweet card and sharing about yourself, thank you. Thank you for such a sweet and thoughtful package and I look forward to being pen pals with you!

Laura - I received your lovely package in the mail today - thank you so very much!!! I certainly got spoiled by you and just love everything. The hanky cards are such a neat idea. The mug is so beautiful - and I can't wait to use all the beautiful cards while sipping a cup of tea. Thank you again - I truly feel very spoiled!!

 At last -- my friend Lynne came over today and finally took pix of my beautiful letter box of goodies from Debbie F. Sadly I am no longer able to get that task accomplished. Anyway, here are the photos. The gorgeous vintage box is awesome and the pix just doesn't do it justice. And oh my, the wonderful goodies, stickers and ribbons and beautiful handmade notecards, a most clever address book, washi tape, pen -- all kinds of wonderful things to help me with the Lost Art of Letter Writing. A huge thank you to Debbie.

Oh joy, joy! Today's mail came, and I received such a wonderful 4-page letter from Vanessa. Wow, has she ever nailed the concept. She shared such wonderful tidbits about her community and her daily goings on and upcoming plans. A "real" letter is indeed such a treasure. Thank you so very much Vanessa. I loved every word of it. And, I especially loved your drawing on the back of the envelope -- tee hee!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Some of my letter writing hints are
1. Keep unanswered letters in a designated location.
2.Mark the date you respond on the back of the envelope.
3. Save the letters (however long you choose).
4. Go through the envelopes every now & then to see who you haven't sent a letter to recently.
