I recently came across some very old, acrylic yarn. It is not soft and feels very itchy. What could I use it for? :)

Maybe a rug where you come in from outside, so you wipe your shoes on it rather than step on it with your bare feet.

No suggestions but I do know what you mean about old yarn, it is not very soft. Good luck.

Do you crochet? I've seen patterns for making baskets of all sizes. Or maybe a tote bag.

I have red, black, and maybe blue….

Heather, I crochet but I’m not great at it. I’ve crocheted two large rectangle type things…sometimes people call those afghans… lol. I don’t do a good job of counting and I seriously have no idea how to read a pattern.

I don't know how well it would work with yarn, but I've seen rugs where they braid fabric then sew it together in a circle. And don't feel bad - When I first started crocheting everything came out wonky. I started out with super tight stitches then relaxed as I got farther along with the project. My first rug was so bad it was more like a triangle than a square LOL!
