So between the house heater going on the fritz, horrible snow squalls and arthritis in my left hand… I still managed to have a calming day..
Reading some past issues of MJF magazines, snuggling with my kitty and pulling out my old fountain pen and ink to write a letter to a dear old friend, we worked together many moons ago.

Grace, I am sorry your heat has been on the fritz when the weather has been so frigid!! However, things look cozy for your and your fur friends while you write a letter. Your pen with ink is really nice and it does make a lovely handwritten note.
I hope better weather is heading your way soon!

Grace, even with your heater fits and arthritis, your day sounds perfect to me. Those fur babies make it all better in my opinion. Do you have any of the hand made rice heating pads you can pop in the microwave? I love those on cold days, with a blankey and my fur baby.

Oh Grace, I sure hope your heater stops acting up. It's too cold to be having issues. I bet your fur babies sure enjoyed snuggling with you today. Your hand written letter also sounds lovely. I have been trying to pick out a pen for my letter writing. I want to keep working on my calligraphy badge. Stay warm.

Oh April, yeppers! I have several of the rice heating rolls, I made them awhile back and also added lavender buds.. smells lovely when gently heated... and feels good too!

Krista, I bought this ‘kit’ a gazillion years ago… I also bought some other fountain pens to use… I am just a tad stiff when writing, I need to loosen up.. maybe a glass of wine first! Hahaha!

Our power went out for a day due to high winds taking down wires and poles.

Hey Candy, 2 of my Oakhurst CA,, friends called to tell me they were with out power for almost 2 days ,,, they got unexpected amount of snow from the storm.
It’s been crazy this year.
