I oiled these this morning. They came from my family. They both have carved dates. One is "1889, one is 1831".They are in perfect condition and always in a Big wooden bowl in the kitchen. Don't want to hide them away.

Beautiful rolling pins. There's something about old wood that has such charm. I have one vintage rolling pin with green handles. What oil do you use?

Thanks, I always have EVOO. I take 2 oz of it before my morning tea.

Gorgeous, Nancy Jo, those should never be hidden from view. I love that your family dated yours.
My mom gifted me my grandmothers two years ago, soooo precious. I wonder if I should wood burn my grandmothers dates in it... Thank you for sharing your family heirlooms. Such family treasures. XO

Nancy Jo, these rolling pins are indeed treasures from your family! Just think of all the pies and biscuits they rolled out over the decades. Amazing!

Those are neat Nancy Jo. The oldest items in my house are a cedar chest from 1916 and my hubby a little bit newer.
