I have -0- % of Irish blood in me,, but I do have 60% German & 20% Welsh and 20% asst other (someone in my ancestry snuck out of the Castle at night..heeheehee!)

But I still plan to enjoy a glass of Green Beer or Irish Whiskey,, sorry, no Corn beef and cabbage.. but I am ok with (Dr Seuss) Green Eggs & Ham.

I'll join you in wearing of the green and may even dance an Irish jig. I'm Irish on mother's side; English and a little German on my father's side.

I always make sure I wear green and I have always had fun dressing my "Irish Triplets" up in matching outfits but I dropped the ball this year. As long as they wear green we should be ok. I really like this holiday. It has always been so much fun to put on as much green as I can find. I would love to visit Ireland some day.

Krista,, I am sure you probably have read Dr Seuss’s‘ Green Eggs & Ham to your kiddos as well as made green scrambled eggs with them…
A gazillion years ago, I prepared green scrambled eggs for my daughter and my hubby on St Pats day…, Meri was on board with eating them, but oh the fuss my hubby made!
Men can be such big babies! Lol!

I have a bit of Irish in my ancestral history located just in Northern Ireland. Our family was all Protestants so Saint Days were not really celebrated. I love the story of St. Patrick and all the fun of wearing the green. When we got to actually visit Ireland a few years ago, it truly is so green and rocky . Just beautiful!!

I found out through tracing my family tree my maternal grandparents were almost full blooded Irish. Two sets of my 2x greats were born in Ireland. Some from Dublin and some from Tipperary. While I was researching also found out my BFF and I are distant cousins.

Me, I'll being wearing mine. Irish on daddy's side. As well as a wee bit of Scottish. We also have Mohawk native american from my great grandma. But we mostly celebrate our Irish heritage proudly. We are from Galway.

I'm not sure but Sprague seems like it could be Irish - that was my grandma's maiden name.
