We have been making major changes in our backyard this week! We officially decided we wanted to expand our corral and keep our 2 heifers for breeding. We will also be putting in some feed pasture. We also made plans to expand my garden and put in some fruit trees. In all my excitement I forgot a before picture, but I found an older one that shows most of the yard we are working on.

Just off the right side of the picture is where my garden was.
We have now torn down the garden gate and moved my raised boxes and brought in loads of compost to fill in where the pasture will go. We will be starting the fence tonight. I will keep you all updated!

What a great garden you're going to have! And I'm so excited you're going to breed your cows :)

We are getting rained on today, so we aren't doing much outside. But we officially have all the fencing up! The cows are loving their doubled corral. And soon we will be expanding their shelter. We still have a lot of dirt to move around. All the garden boxes are ready to go and we put rock around them to help prevent walking in mud. All my fruit trees are in (they are hard to see in the picture). I choose a peach, a pear, and an apple tree. I also dug holes for 2 more rhubarb plants. Still so much work left, but I am very happy with how it's coming along!
