I am Amy from Lompoc, CA. I was born in Prairie Village, Kansas and my heart will always be on the prairie, even though I was very young when we moved away!

I am a 4th grade teacher who likes to quilt and garden and read in my spare time. My pet project at school is our school garden. I also have a plot in our community garden.

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Brenda,

Do you remember Topsy's....the ice cream place in Prairie Village?

Does anyone know why we can't subscribe to the topics on this board?

I do remember Topsy's, best ice cream ever!! Amy do you mean in the other Henhouses? Linda and I thought maybe they have just let their henhouse go to the wayside. Or maybe we have to notify Brian to be added to their site to join in on their topics. We'll need to check this out for you.

Brenda,

In most of the other topics there is a subscribe option, but not in the Scattered Prairie Gals Henhouse. I like being subscribed so I don't miss anything! I think they can easily change it so we can subscribe if we want.

I loved Topsy's so much as a child that I (at age 5) named my first dog Topsy!

Hi Amy, So glad you have joined us! I am adjusting to the prairie. After being a So Cal girl all my life! It's a huge adjustment with the seasons and such! Was raised in the San Fernando Valley area and then as an adult lived in Simi Valley, then the Hi-Desert for 20 plus years until the move here last summer. Maybe Brian or Megan can look into the subscribe problem and fix it for us?! Take care ladies, Linda

By the way Amy, hooray that you are a teacher! One of the hardest jobs, I think.
