Farmgirls:

What is in the plans for the gathering in the summer? I thought there was talk to meet in SD? Did I misunderstand. If the ? dates are during the weekend, we plan to go- during the week, I will be taking radiation 5 days a week - Mon thru Friday. I am thinking positive and want to make the trip.

Brenda & Linda - WOW!!! I received my Scattered Prairie Gals packet today. Thank you for all your hard work. Can I send some money to help with the postage, expense?

It made my day - I am not feeling too cool today. Farmgirls all the way!!!!!

Viola, sorry you are not feeling well. Check out my post under the health topic!? Still working on all the artist card badges. Waiting for lanyards and badge holders to arrive still as well! Not sure about S. Dakota. I think the little house tour is going to DeSmet. Is that what you mean?

Yes - DeSmet - is that still on? Depending on my health, my hubby thought it would be good for me to make the gathering and meet some of the Farmgirls that make it.

Thanks.

Go to 'chapter chatter' and check out the posts for LIW, farmgirls on loose tour by Wende. All the info and blogspot are there! I know many people are attending all, or some of the tour. They are in De Smet June 6-8. Blessings, Linda

I would like to go to the Independence Ks Little House tour but it will depend on what the weather is. Anything over 80* and I don't do well (can't take the heat). And we just got a van so we could go and do things. I get anixous if I'm by myself and my legs haven't been doing very well can't walk very far or stand for very long any more, so I hesitate about going to things as I don't want to be a burden on anyone.

Connie and Kathy, Hope you were able to go to some of the sites. Let us know how it went. I ended up not able to make it. Connie, I am exactly in the same situation! In fact when I read the suggestions for Lawrence (will check it out by the way), I got a bit apprehensive. I am not able to walk much at all. Will be getting a brace next week that will help with stability, but still not lenghly walking, Usually, rent a w/c at zoos, etc. I do not want to ruin anything either for everyone. Sooo, as we try and plan things, you and I could take the breaks needed or sit and enjoy a tea or coffee if needed! I understand and as Brenda keeps assuring me, the others will too! Between the weather here and the walking and health thats why I thought it best to forgo the little house site for now. We will all figure it out and come up with things that can work out for us all??!! Blessings, Linda

Unfortunately, there was only Wende, Connie, and I. We did have some delicious fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and chocolate cake. Then we got busy doin some gardening around Little House. It was a nice afternoon outing.

Linda, When I am going someplace I generally take a lawn chair with me. That's what I did at little house and I moved it around to the half whiskey barrels that I was planting. And if it was to far for me to walk I just drove around to the other spots. I have seriously considered getting myself one of those walkers with the seat, so if I get tired I can sit down. And I've considered a scooter, but I don't know if I would beable to lift it in and out of the van. Still want to think about that.
