If you were talking to me, Brenda, I am not actually a teacher. I am a para-educator. It is sort of like a tutor for special ed students. I go to their classes and help them when they need help. Sometimes, it is just keeping them on track and other times it could be reading a test or instructions to them. Occasionally, I make copies for a teacher to help them keep the class rolling and structured. I work under a supervisoring resource teacher. I do feel sometimes we know some of our students better than the teachers because we work so closely with them. Oh, we help regular ed students some, also.
I would rather wear out than rust out.----Richard Cumberland |

Kathy my daughter is also a para-educator. I know they call her something else because she's responsible on one child all day. And will follow her thoughout her schooling. I do agree that you probably do know the children better. With the head teacher having so many to take care of it's really hard. And I do know that you girls put alot more into the childrens learning than you realize. And it helps the class flow easier with you there. Hugs, Brenda |

| That's probably what they call them. Her first few years she was doing as you do with the whole class. Then Amber came, and was in Kindergarden and really needed a one on one. She will be in 4th grade next year. She seems like one of the family. But can be a hand full. Patrice loves her dearly. Hoping to follow her throughout High School. |

Ok girls, this will be the end of my jabbering.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall!
"Hope is something we actually create."
1. Be kind to yourself. Think what you need most and do it! Grant yourself permission.
2. Create a 5 min. silence ritual.
3. Curtail your intake of news. Limit your time with the news. If you miss something it will be there tomorrow.
4. Treat each day as a precious gift. Look to what you appreciate, who, what are you grateful for! Make a list everyday and add to it.
5. Take a break! Breathe deeply and offer Thanks!
6. Express Love Tangibly! Be generous with your love. It brings positive energy to our lives. It's very conforting to be both the giver and the receiver.
7. Say this affermation everyday! "I'm the key to Peace" Peace starts with one individual.
8. Make a difference! Reach out beyond your normal scope. Each time we make a difference in the lives of others, we create hope in ourselves.
"12 ways to keep going" You can't sit around and wait for the storm to be over. You've got to learn how to dance in the rain!
1. Look for ways to escape the pin. It's hard to findly take the first step. Search for a release, join in with others in things you enjoy! 2. Track your mood. This will help you track your targets! 3. Solve the problem. Look back at your journal and see what is common to your mood changes! 4. Talk about it! You always feel better when you share with someone that cares and supports you! 5. Repeat~~~"I will get there. Faith is very powerful against set backs. 6. Think Smaller! We get overwhelmed when we look at the big picture. It can't be done in one day. Take baby steps. 7. Remember your hero's. think of those who have gone through simular things and survived. 8. Look backward. See what you have overcome! 9. Distract yourself. Find something to do that you enjoy! 10.get out your self Esteem file. 11.Make a list of reasons to keep trying! 12.Read~~~Psalmes 91 `````````` Girls, I don't know if this has given you anything to think about, I hope it has. But I feel just by typing these words to all of you has helped me to realize, yes I've fallen(failed) whatever word you want to use, many times. But have also picked myself up and have succeeded! It may not have been perfect, or how other's would have done it. But I was pleased with the end results. And I know the Lord was right there with me by lifting me up and trying again.
I really enjoy the fact that we can all get on here and be open and honest and are excepted for who we are.
Let's all try to remember to "Be proud of who we are, because everyone else is already taken!" |

Sometimes we worry too much about how we did something compared to how someone else did it. There may be many paths to a goal; some easier than others but they all get us there.

| I agree Kathy, it's when we just sit a stew about what to do. We accomplish nothing. At least if your trying your moving in the right direstion. I feel if you have a goal, if you take it slowly and enjoy what your doing then you are meeting that goal. So many times we think we just have to get something done so it can be checked off the list. And can move right on to something else. But where was the relax and enjoyment that could have been there if we had only slowed down a bit. I guess I'm thinking along the line of my crafts. They bring me such joy. I have found that I need to avoid time related projects. It stress' me and the enjoyment is gone. And if I have done my very best at what I'm doing, then I need to be pleased. What others think could have been done a different way then they have the option of doing it theirself. That is why we are all so unique, not one thing done by two people with the exact. We will shine through what we do. |

Do any of you have the devotional book 'Streams in the desert'? I was recently given one and it is awesome!! Really helps you to remember to try to relax in God,s grace and timing!! A beautiful book. First published in 1925, I think. Wow, the basics of life and trials stay the same. Have a blessed day, ladies. Linda
