Hi farmgirl sisters, I'm sorry I have not been on here for awhile! Thanks you all for your sweet cards, postcards, and gifts! I have not been doing well, no energy at all! My Engergizer Bunny has left me and it makes me soooo sad! I'm just not able to do much of anything. I will have another PET scan around the 23rd of December, praying it will show shrinkage of the tumors. I was in the hospital Thanksgiving with multiple bloodclots in my lungs, I am now on blood thiners, my breathing is better! Just wanted to give you all an update to let you know why I am sort of MIA. I think about you all and see some of you on facebook.. I haven't posted anything about my health until I know more. Thank you all for your love, support and prayers! Don't know what I would do without my farmsisters!

Goodness, Famgirl mail arrived today! Thank-you Debbie for your lovely card and hand crocheted snowflake! It looks so pretty on my tree now. I am also enjoying a cup of your Christmas teas as well. It is such a nice change with these holiday flavors too.
Linda, I enjoyed my darling e-card from Jackie Lawson this morning! She makes such clever electronic cards with songs and animals and people all dressed up for the season!
Marilyn , loved my vintage print postcard! There were so many wonderful prints back when postcards were the way people loved to send greetings. Fascinating!!
Denise, thank-you so much for your card and that handcrafted ornament with the vintage Santa theme! It is also on my tree now enjoying a place of honor. And......... THAT LOGCABIN KITCHEN TOWEL!! It is just adorable and will most likely become a fixed piece in my kitchen way after Christmas!! |

Thank you all for the lovely cards I have been receiving. I am struggling with getting in the Christmas spirit, but love you all so much!
I also want to say a HUGE thank you to Connie... I picked up my mail from the post office Thursday night, finally, and oh my gracious! Connie made me a beautiful Amish doll set... it is a momma holding her daughter, wrapped in a baby quilt. I cry each time I cradle it, but am finding the release to be quite healing! I've been trying so hard to be strong right now and stay joyful, especially with it being so close to Christmas, so not allowing myself to grieve or even to miss Cassie, recently... I've been stuffing it down... but the doll is allowing me to cry, to grieve, and then to feel less burdened and more joyful. Thank you sweet friend! <3 |

I am so thankful for the cards. They are helping me to feel more in the holiday spirit. DH's daughter was killed in an accident a year ago so December is difficult for us. |

Connie you are amazing. You are a heart healer. Judith, I know it is so hard to lose a loved one. 21+ years ago my mother passed away. Baylee was 4 months old. October 5th. Mother would have been 81 the next day. Then. On February 12, I got a call at school. My 52 year old brother had died. That was a shock. It is hard when you do not expect it. Then in May my step father died. Mother had been sick for five years. Her husband had dementia so bad. Come to find out my brother had cancer...he just chose to keep quiet about it because I was so busy with mother. |

Oh Shannon, I am glad its helping. I know God wanted me to send it to you. The power of the holy spirit would not let me ignore it. My first thought was Oh no, Lord, how cruel of a gift. I bowed my head and prayed please lord this can't be right. There is no way I could have ignored it. I knew it was God. I've prayed to trust him more and more and I have stayed in his word a lot this year. Dr. David Jeremiah said, Don't procrastinate when the spirit prompts you, you may be the answer to someone's prayer. I never looked at it that way before. The lord has answered so many prayers for me this year! I love him and praise him with all my heart! Merry Christmas to you and your precious family!! We all rejoice at the birth of Jesus! The hope of the world!!

Beautiful, Connie. Looking at your picture as well as the cards I have sent and received picturing Mary, Joseph and this most precious, special baby...it made me think...they were so special...Gods chosen parents! Chosen to bring up this special child, in the way God wanted... Mary was so young but she knew how special she and her baby were. I can't even imagine what that must have been like. In my brothers things was a book about some of the left out parts of God's word. One story was about mothers coming to Mary for healing for their infants. It seems that after they had moved from the stable to a house, Mary continued to use rags or swaddling cloths to wash her baby. Mothers who believed would ask her for a rag and upon bathing their own of it. child..it was healed. That story brings up tears every time I think of it. So powerful.. |

When we see paintings of the nativity it looks like Jesus was wrapped in a very long piece of cloth...but swaddling cloths were rags the farmer cleaned the cows teats and udder with, before milking. |

Marilyn, that is a beautiful story! Connie and Shannon, the mother and baby dolls...the Holy Spirit's prompting... I have goosebumps and a warmth in my heart. This made my day! I love when these things happen. Judith, I pray that you will have peace and joy. We all get caught up in the holiday spirit and we need to remember that it isn't easy for so many, my family included. It's good to be reminded of that and to be aware of others' feelings and try to be a little more kind and compassionate. |
