Today, I want to share with you the final photos of my office turned log cabin. As I previously said, log cabins have long been a fascination of mine and I always wanted to live in a real one that had been saved and converted to a modern day abode. But that dream was not to be. When I started seeing log cabin wallpaper used in rooms in various magazines, I knew that I might have stumbled on a plan for my cabin. With a lot of help from Warren, it is now done and it feels like a cabin to me. Check it out...........

The little faux fireplace does not put out heat, but it does make a crackle noise that makes it seem like it is a real wood fire. The ambience is fun and looks welcoming at night like a real fire would. All of the items you see are things that I already had in my house and just rearranged in this room.There is another walls that I did not photograph that has a big tall cupboard that used to be in our kitchen growing up.My brother made it for my Mom one summer because our kitchen was so tiny and mom desperately needed more storage room for our big family.
This project took way longer than I ever imagined for all sorts of little reasons. Now I am glad it is completed and I can enjoy it!! It is my Farmgirl Make-Do Log Cabin and I love it!!

Winnie!! I love it!!! So cozy!! I had that exact wallpaper until we had to replace our Heat and air system and they had to replace most of the wall for more electrical system. You did a wonderful decoraing job of bringing that cozy Log Cabin feel to the the room!! If you dont look outside you would never know your in Florida!
