Me too Judith! I used to watch the movies with my son when he was little and I think I enjoyed them as much as he did.
I have a set of the books.

I had my surgery yesterday morning. Did good with drugs, ice machine, and lots of sleeping yesterday. Pain not too bad. Didn't need pain pill until I got up and walked around the house a bit today. One leg has large elastic bandage on and other has very long TEDS sock on. LOL!

We have a re-do of our young grandson's 2nd birthday celebration tomorrow, so I will hobble over there to enjoy the party. It was originally scheduled for the 15th, because Dawson's birthday was the 13th. However, he had a fever on Wednesday and on Thursday at the doctor's he tested positive for Flu, so they cancelled the party. With my surgery scheduled and other people older than Ed and I also invited, this was definitely for the best. So tomorrow we will celebrate! YAY!

A Polish legend tells the tale
Of tiny kittens, oh so frail.

Along the river's edge they chased.
With butterflies, they played and raced.

They came too close to the river's side,
And, thus, fell in. Their mother cried.

What could she do but weep and moan?
Her babies' fate were yet unknown.

The willows, by the river, knew
Just what it was that they must do.

They swept their graceful branches down
Into the waters, all around.

To reach the kittens was their goal;
A rescue mission, heart and soul.

The kittens grasped the branches tight.
The willows saved them from their plight.

Each springtime since, the story goes,
Willow branches now wear clothes.

Tiny fur like buds are sprung
Where little kittens once had clung.

My mother had a huge *****willow bush in the backyard. It was over 8 feet high and branches were abundantly full of little fuzzy buds.

We had one in our backyard in NJ that JT planted for me. It got quite big after only about 4 years. We had a Weeping willow outside my bedroom window when I was growing up. I loved having it there until we'd get storms and then I was afraid it would blow over but it never did.
