Hi Debbie :)

Will be headed to the post office today to mail out your stocking - I misread it and thought I needed to mail by the 15th (moving too fast I guess) but on a positive note, I found some sweet treasures while I was out and about in East Texas.

Happy Monday everyone!

Laura

Dianna I received my stocking package yesterday, I will post pictures tomorrow. Thank you so much! The recycled tree skirt made a beautiful stocking.

Dianna I love my stocking very much, you did an excellent job transforming it from a tree skirt. Y’all, it is velvet with embroidery and a crochet lace cuff, so beautiful!! I will enjoy all of the little treasures you packed in my stocking as well Dianna. Thank you for being my swap partner!!

Julie's stocking arrived for me yesterday and it is substantial! Everything was so beautifully wrapped that I felt like a naughty kid ripping wrapping paper before the big day. Does anyone have similar hang ups? Hopefully it is OK if I put it under the tree so I can savor it on Thursday?

Fallon's package from Karen arrived on Wednesday and what a haul! We hadn't gotten around to doing stockings as a family, so Karen's quilted one can continue to remind us of our adventures with the sisterhood in years to come. Fallon was able to read Karen's and Olive's entire letters by herself and is looking forward to writing you both back. She reports that you are a great colorer and gave me permission to use this picture because she "only has a little" Nutella breakfast on her face. Thank you so much, we will be busy with sewing, baking, coloring, and corresponding for many days to come.

Chris,
Fallon is cute as a button even with a little Nutella that no can see! Looks like you all had fun. Maybe next year won't be so hectic (haha) and I will be able to join in.

Here is my beautiful stocking full of Christmas treasures from Laura. I almost forgot my Willow Garden Angel, I have been collecting them for years but do not have this one. Now I do:-) I love all my goodies. The Cardinal Journal is special, how I love Cardinals. Washi Cardinal tape, sweet star Santa made out of an old quilt, love it. The sweet Christmas mug full of teas and hot chocolate, it is two sided and I love the shape. Christmas Potpourri, Ummm! Christmas Cookie Soy Candle, it smells just like cookies. Hand lotion and a Cardamon Krumkake cookie. Thank you Laura for all the treasures so lovingly chosen for me to make me feel so special. You did and I do! After the past month and a half I have had and loosing all of November it was fun opening the stocking full of goodies like a little girl! Thank you for giving me such a happy feeling.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Oh Debbie - I am so glad your package arrived safely - I was a little worried about the mug making it safely. Happy to hear that you are enjoying your swap goodies.

I have received my package as well - just haven't had a chance to take a photo yet to post. I loved the happy mail - thanks so much! Especially the lovely Marjolein Bastin goodies. Will post photos soon! My daughter and her family are here and my son is coming today. We've been busy baking out at my dad's so I haven't been at home much.

This is my fun goodies from Fallon’s (Chris’s daughter): The box had a reading enclosed about Laura and Mary Ingalls Christmas morning. What a fun package!! :) Thank you so much!! :) I love it all. The picture is missing the two little cookies that were in the tin (from WW2) cuz I ate em up! :)

Julie, what a treat! Where did you find such varied and pretty wrapping paper? Some massive amanitas (death caps) shot up in our apple mini orchard a few days ago and my husband has been experimenting with taking spore prints over the holiday, so the Christmas mushroom one was particularly timely.

What cool stuff was inside! Fallon and I have been working on chocolate badges so the cocoa and caramel squares will go to good use. We gifted Jens an encyclopedia of different types of knots so the paracord will also get put through its paces. I am resolved to taking better notes this year about what veggies we planted and how they did and the journal you sent is so perfect for keeping me organized. The candles and soap are already filling the house with wonderful cozy smells. Fallon and I will be fighting over this headband as it complements the turquoise costume jewelry we acquired a few weeks ago for our Native American outfits at the school history festival. She loves watermelon so has already claimed the lip balm and the freesia is mine because it was my favorite scent in high school and is working like a fountain of youth. How did you know I had more ziptop reusable bags and a restock of scrubbies and compostable dish towels on my wishlist?! Plus the cute hat will be a perfect fit for some of Fallon's tiniest stuffies, the ornaments are helping fill out our first Christmas tree, and the frosted tree and sleigh reminds me so much of childhood in Minnesota (without the driveway shoveling) and my dad's expansive department 56 collection he would spend hours deliberating how to set up. Thank you so much for these amazing treasures!
