Posted - Jun 26 2010 : 5:38:37 PM Oh Lorraine...I remember that first time feeling. I wish my husband was great at working with me on that project...it doesn't go so smoothe here..haha. He is very very helpful with other projects but he hates hates hates butchering chickens. So I usually have a friend or two come over and we do it farmgirl style... a couple early morning sessions and we are done. I didn't raise any this year but may next year. I love it..not the butchering day so much..but feels so good when it is done. You will LOVE having that awesome homegrown chicken on hand all year. Great work!!

Posted - Jun 25 2010 : 5:24:53 PM Great! Now I know where to come eat some fried chicken...lol. What kind of jelly are you making? I have to get busy myself. Cograts on working together with you hubby, we get so bad somtimes that we have to stop and laugh at ourselves. My hubby is a 100 mile an hour guy and I cant keep up with him, and he assumes that I understand what he is "thinking" at times and I am lost in space. So maybe we will reach that point too one day.
