Posted - Apr 21 2008 : 1:28:59 PM I'm looking for any chicken books or mags that have great info for getting started with a small backyard flock. If you have some let me know what you are in search of. I have lots of fabric and sewing notions. I also have some flower and veggy seeds I could share. Oh, I also have lots of old wooden clothes pins. Just let me know if you would like something else! TIA, Emily

Posted - Apr 29 2008 : 3:17:11 PM Emily, I am so excited for you and your family! We, too, have decided to buy chicks which are called Astrolops and I have started an informative and informative blog you can check out if you like. I posted some information I have found and also bought a book at the local feed store to help raise the 25 we will have next month. The book has a lot more information than I posted on my blog and I would love to look up anything you would like to know!! How about those "Henny Penny Sister's!" Hugs, Pauline
