Posted - Jan 28 2009 : 11:28:29 AM so glad to be back here amongst the farmgirls. i am feeling stronger everyday and hope to continue on that journey. i still have days where i just relax and sleep all day ,,,,but i am starting to sort through my fabrics and fantasize about starting on my crafts again. my galfriend gifted me a great pincushion book which has pincushions that are quite different from the ones i usually make so i am exploring those. also thinking of crafting with my felted wools and making garments for the grandkids. its really nice to think of something different besides biopsys and surgery etc. anyway, i have read the site and posted a little and wanted to officially come back from Big D to the farm. the farm is covered in ice today but it has never looked so pretty. will try to post some pics later.

Posted - Feb 10 2009 : 06:00:35 AM Oh, Frannie...so GREAT to hear you are "on the mend"! And "the bunnies" have really matured and hopefully will be a big help to you now on the farm but you may have to rein them in a bit. Have you warned them about "internet predators"? You may have to get some of that special software to protect them if they are logging on by themselves! And SO GLAD you are getting your crafting mojo back! It's going to be a great Spring and I will continue praying for your good health and farmgirl spirit! Wonderful to see you back here!

Posted - Feb 10 2009 : 01:51:56 AM Well, no wonder the bunnies are so self sufficient; they live with a Can Do farm chick. And now that you know how smart and industrious they truly are, hand them a dust rag and tell them to HOP to it! Love, Nance |

Posted - Feb 06 2009 : 9:27:36 PM i tell ya, since i came back from dallas, the bunns have been totally out of control. they learned to turn on the computer by themselves and have really taken over the farm. cant believe it! anyway, it is such a joy to be back and things are starting to turn around here, i hope to start with my crafting soon and to get going on the gardens. the guest houses are getting new roofs and soon i hope to post some pics about that.

i am so happy to be back, and very greatful to be feeling good enough to be thinking of crafting. the bunnies are in various stages of "developement", but truthfully only one pair is really close to completion. i havent decided yet about what to do about making more bunnies, but i know i will be waiting to hear about chemo and radiation before i make any more decisions.
the bunnies do love the mj site and they love to keep up with all their favorite farmgirls. although they do get their farmgirl info a little confused at times. they do a wonderful job of keeping me "posted" on the postings here at the mj site, and on occasion they have even interrupted a good nap with squeals of delight if they saw a post from one of you gals wishing me a get well and sending prayers. you have boosted my spirits on so many days and i hope soon i will be back on my feet and sending out support and well wishes to other farmgirls that need it. i know you have all done a wonderful job of boostin this famgirl. love to all.

Posted - Jan 30 2009 : 1:14:30 PM We must have been! As far as being a most beautiful pregnant woman, I am definitely most pregnant :) I feel wonderful, though, and am ready for this little one to be introduced to her world. I feel so blessed, daily, but the love and support I receive. Incredible--she's sooo very loved, and is still within the safety of mom, but I know she feels it ALL!
It's alright to cry--we know that--and it's alright to be mopey. And then, as you say, you decided to get on with it. I am just so overjoyed to see your posts--makes my day, and that you continue on the journey with cancer is just what you will do. It's a meandering path--one which you do not travel alone, you know. Obviously, all the farmgirls, your family and your man go with you each and every day. Love you! |

well, i gathered up my craft fairy necklace and strapped my brass compass on the silk ribbon, just in case i lost my way and thought i was ready to go on with this journey, then country (my dh) and i made the trek to sherman to hear about the chemo and radiation that i might have. well, i was thrown for a loop, cause i was told by the surgeon, no chemo, no radiation. did i misunderstand? no dh was right there , he heard it as well. so maybe i need two compasses, forgive me if i take a day or two to cry, adjust and then pull myself up by the old bootstraps. i was surprised at this. but i guess with all things it is what it is. love frannie in texas (http://abunnystale.wordpress.com/) |
