so glad to be back here amongst the farmgirls. i am feeling stronger everyday and hope to continue on that journey. i still have days where i just relax and sleep all day ,,,,but i am starting to sort through my fabrics and fantasize about starting on my crafts again. my galfriend gifted me a great pincushion book which has pincushions that are quite different from the ones i usually make so i am exploring those. also thinking of crafting with my felted wools and making garments for the grandkids. its really nice to think of something different besides biopsys and surgery etc. anyway, i have read the site and posted a little and wanted to officially come back from Big D to the farm. the farm is covered in ice today but it has never looked so pretty. will try to post some pics later.

we have been iced in here for about 2 days. it has given me a chance to rest, unpack from dallas, rest, read, rest and look at my craft pics for ideas. so wonderful to hear from all of yall and i DO appreciate all the prayers and thoughts that have helped me through the last several months. i am anxious to get back to my crafting, cause i too feel, linda that crafting is a therapy among other things. i loved seeing marian's doll on another post and if you havent checked it out on her post please do, her doll is adorable.pam and diane i so appreciate the prayers they have really pulled me through all of this i believe and also hope they will continue. i have not had word yet about the chemo and radiation but should hear about those plans tomorrow. thanks for telling me that i have been missed suzanne, i feel very lucky that folks have hung in there with me on what has turned into many months of a journey. sometimes just knowing we are missed can give us the boost that we need on those days when we feel down. sweet alee how are things in montana? how are Yall keepin warm, and also wonderin how that little nora is doing? please give her a hug from me. thanks once again form boostin this farmgirl in texas hope soon we will all be back to sharin our craftin pics and plantin our gardens for the spring.

Welcome back, Frannie. Texas is frozen?? Wow. It's good to see you are feeling a little better. And that is a good thing to do, the crafting.
Can you tell us a little about your journey?

well, i gathered up my craft fairy necklace and strapped my brass compass on the silk ribbon, just in case i lost my way and thought i was ready to go on with this journey, then country (my dh) and i made the trek to sherman to hear about the chemo and radiation that i might have. well, i was thrown for a loop, cause i was told by the surgeon, no chemo, no radiation. did i misunderstand? no dh was right there , he heard it as well. so maybe i need two compasses, forgive me if i take a day or two to cry, adjust and then pull myself up by the old bootstraps. i was surprised at this. but i guess with all things it is what it is. love frannie in texas (http://abunnystale.wordpress.com/) |

Yay!!!! She's back, she's healthy and strong, and most of all, she's getting back to the bun-rabs, and other crafting, that fulfill her.
I am oh-so-happy that you have returned, dear one. It hasn't been the same without you. |

hi febvi, we must have been typing at the same time! it is great to be back and hear from all the farmgirls with their prayers and well wishes. i hope you are doing well, i know you are a most beautiful pg woman! i am really ready to get on with my crafting and such, but seems i will be continuing on with the cancer journey a while longer. i took the time yesterday to cry and was a tad mopey this morning then decided i do need to get on with it. so i will continue straightening up around here and then next week should start again on my crafting. love to you all!

We must have been! As far as being a most beautiful pregnant woman, I am definitely most pregnant :) I feel wonderful, though, and am ready for this little one to be introduced to her world. I feel so blessed, daily, but the love and support I receive. Incredible--she's sooo very loved, and is still within the safety of mom, but I know she feels it ALL!
It's alright to cry--we know that--and it's alright to be mopey. And then, as you say, you decided to get on with it. I am just so overjoyed to see your posts--makes my day, and that you continue on the journey with cancer is just what you will do. It's a meandering path--one which you do not travel alone, you know. Obviously, all the farmgirls, your family and your man go with you each and every day. Love you! |
