Posted - Feb 24 2009 : 11:17:50 PM Hi,
I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sharon and I am from SW Colorado. My husband and I have been married for 12 wonderful years and we have one furbaby :)
I love Bible Study, canning, cooking, baking, gardening (even though I am still learning), and also enjoy knitting and embroidering. Oh and hopefully we will be raising chickens this year.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I have been checking out the board for a little while and decided to jump in to encourage and share with fellow Farmgirls at Heart :)

Durango is so nice! What hotel will you be staying at? When you are there you will have to check out the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Durango Coffee Company on Main Street. It would be fun to meet :)

Posted - Feb 26 2009 : 6:01:36 PM We're looking at either the first or second week of August. Hubby wants to do some geneology stuff in Mancos, I've picked a hotel in Durango, and we'll visit the Nat'l Park one day and head towards the Grand Canyon to meet my sister for a short trip. It'd be fun to meet!

Posted - Feb 25 2009 : 12:19:22 PM Thank you girls for making me feel welcome!
Misty: The chickens would be a first for me. I have done a little research and think we may go with Black Austrolorps, Sussex, and Americaunas.I am not really sure. I am hoping to find breeds that are high producers and more docile. The Americaunas would be for fun :)
Dawn: Thank you!
Lorraine: I am sorry that you can't have chickens where you are :(
Rebekah: Thank you and I look forward to checking out your blog :)

Hello Sharon and welcome to Farmgirl! I am new too, but I have been made to feel very welcome, and have found a wealth of information here...and chickens? What breed are you thinking about raising?
Smile-oh yea, you will still get wrinkles, but at least they will be wrinkles worth seeing! |
