Hi,
I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sharon and I am from SW Colorado. My husband and I have been married for 12 wonderful years and we have one furbaby :)
I love Bible Study, canning, cooking, baking, gardening (even though I am still learning), and also enjoy knitting and embroidering. Oh and hopefully we will be raising chickens this year.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I have been checking out the board for a little while and decided to jump in to encourage and share with fellow Farmgirls at Heart :)

Hello Sharon and welcome to Farmgirl! I am new too, but I have been made to feel very welcome, and have found a wealth of information here...and chickens? What breed are you thinking about raising?
Smile-oh yea, you will still get wrinkles, but at least they will be wrinkles worth seeing! |

Thank you girls for making me feel welcome!
Misty: The chickens would be a first for me. I have done a little research and think we may go with Black Austrolorps, Sussex, and Americaunas.I am not really sure. I am hoping to find breeds that are high producers and more docile. The Americaunas would be for fun :)
Dawn: Thank you!
Lorraine: I am sorry that you can't have chickens where you are :(
Rebekah: Thank you and I look forward to checking out your blog :)

Welcome Sharon! What kind of furbaby do you have? We are planning a SW CO trip this summer, to Mesa Verde Nat'l Park area...are you anywhere around there?

Welcome Sharon, if you have been reading the posts for a while now, then you know these are a great bunch of ladies. They can fix nearly anything, have advise about almost everything, and are just wonderful! So glad you decided to jump in and get your feet wet. Cindy

Thank you girls!
Country Lawyer: Thank you, I feel very blessed to live here :)
Mary Jane Lee: Thanks, I know that you will be hooked once you try them :)
Leslie: Our furbaby is a 9 year old English Flat-Hair Lab named Tirzah (which means Delight in Hebrew and that she definitely is). We live about a half an hour away from Mesa Verde :) Do you know exactly when you are coming out? The second and third week in July are usually very hot.
Glenda: Me too!
Carol: Thank you! I look forward to checking out your blog :)
Cindy: I love how all of the ladies hearts are here. That is what inspired me to join in :) Thanks for the welcome.

We're looking at either the first or second week of August. Hubby wants to do some geneology stuff in Mancos, I've picked a hotel in Durango, and we'll visit the Nat'l Park one day and head towards the Grand Canyon to meet my sister for a short trip. It'd be fun to meet!

Leslie,
Durango is so nice! What hotel will you be staying at? When you are there you will have to check out the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Durango Coffee Company on Main Street. It would be fun to meet :)

Cheryl, you're right. Ginger would LOVE to go! She'll be like the gnome for Travelocity, lol. Sharon, for the moment I'm looking at the DoubleTree in Durango because they have bigger beds, bigger rooms and I have two boys one being a teenager. We like big and lots of ammenties! I'm excited to go! Yes, we'll have to meet up downtown, that would be fun!
