Greetings Ladies!
Just found this forum and am delighted!!
When the garden is finally in - I'm takin' some time to sit and check out EVERYTHING here. For now, just want to say "HI"!

I'm Donna, a work-from-home homesteading homeschoolin' Mama (well, we're done, but....) We have 15 acres in Wilkes County NC and I teach people how to bake and cook with whole grains. I am a MILLER for real!

Looking forward to getting to know y'all and meet some new friends!
Best Blessings!
Donna

Hi Donna, Sorry I hadn't posted recently. My adult children took me to California for a Mother's Day surprise.
I am not sure the date in May the "Simple Life" FG's are getting together. We had chosen the 23rd, but then we remembered that it is Memorial weekend, so it may be the 16th. I will let you know. We are planning a trip to the Farmer's Market near Kernersville. I sure hope you can come.
Hugs!

What's the chapter 'name'?
Depending upon where the May gathering is - it sounds like FUN!
Keep me posted!
Best Blessings!

We had never met before. We worn our aprons so that we would recognize each other. We had a blast. We are trying to connect with as may NC girls that we can. I hope you can join us for our May adventure.

Oh cool the Zoo!

My kids (all in college) just went there last week for photography class!

I miss homeschooling trips to the zoo - now they go without me!

Glad to meet another person in NC!

Hi Kris.
Which site? The youtube one? It may not work well at all on dial up - it didn't when we had dial up. The other one should load unless I wrote it wrong (THAT could happen) - Let's try again...
http://www.millersgrainhouse.com/store

If it's not working maybe try to copy/paste it into the browser (bet that's the other way you also tried thogh) or email me and we'll try to go through email.

Let me know!
Blessings!
BTW - LOVE your signature line!

It's official - third time just HAS to be the charm! I sent now TWO BIG OLE BLANK replies! Haha...learning new things is really a fun trip!

Anyways....I digress....
If you would like my most Fool Proof Bread recipe - go to my eatgrains blog (http://www.eatgrains.com) and sign up - it's one of the first few emails. It is my tried and true that I always use. Also each month I send out a free whole grain recipe. Last month it was Maccaroni Grill's Rosemary Bread made healthy and in a few days it's Heart Healthy Whole Wheat Pancakes for Mother's Day! Next month I hope to send out those Red Lobster Biscuits made healthy! (o:
Oh and sometimes I send a video tutorial from my youtube channel
youtube.com/user/thewheatguy

I gotta say this is the most welcoming forum I've ever joined! I can't WAIT to have time to really spend here!

Best Blessings!

Hi Donna. Wow. I make our bread from whole wheat berries. I was just thinking lately how I am not liking the way it falls apart sometimes and would like to try some new methods. I'd love to know how you make your bread. Maybe you have some recipes you'd like to share? I use the Bread Becker recipe and sometimes use the Zojurushi machine and sometimes the DLX. Just depends on how much I want to make.

So how neat to find another whole grain bread girl here! I've been making this bread for about 10 years now. I think it's time to try some new ways, don't you think?

SO a big ole Georgia welcome to you. I'm just about 30 miles South of Chattanooga. I am going to check out your blogs now. Bye.

A warm Louisiana welcome, Donna! I'd love to be able to mill my own flour and meal. It's one of the things on the 'list' for Paradise. Hopefully it won't be too much longer!
