Posted - Jun 04 2009 : 10:01:11 PM Hey there! Like I said, I am a newbie. My mom introduced me to Mary Janes Farm Magazine a few months ago. And I LOVE IT!! I have been so inspired through reading this magazine plus i just loved the name. I loved it so much that when i bred my Nubian dairy goat, I decided that if she had a doe, her name would be Mary Jane (MJ for short) Sure enough, my girl Abby had two beautiful kids on Tuesday night. A doe, who I named Mary Jane :) and a buck named Otis. Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration! -Em:D Smile Jesus Loves you! |

Posted - Jun 13 2009 : 11:07:50 PM Thanks everyone for such a great welcome!! I feel so loved :D Sorry I havent replied earlier but I have been really busy with my goat kids and a leadership conference for my FFA chapter. (just got back this afternoon)
Cherry- Thats the same issue that my mom gave me! :D Ok I will do that. Hopefully I will have a pic of my kids up soon! Thank you!
Teresa Sue- Thats so cool!! Ha ha Gilbert has probably changed a bit since you were here :D
Kris- Yay! Abby is a good name :] Yup, I milk her twice a day :D Once I wean the kids, I will use the milk to make goat cheese and soap. The cheese is to die for!! Sooooo goooood!! My favorite is Chevre with a little bit of rosemary and garlic mixed in it! YUM!! Right now I am only allowed to have the one goat because we dont have enough room (were pretty much in the middle of the city but we dont have an HOA so it all worked out :D ) so I will have to sell the kids asap but after I graduate this year, we will be moving to NM and getting some land so I can have my own herd!! :D
Julie- Will do! Thanks for the welcome!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day! -Em :D
