Posted - Jul 17 2009 : 04:50:51 AM Morning ladies! I'm a TX girl who married a city boy. I spent 8 years NYC then finally got out! I have 4 little ones 6 and under and they are such a joy. I don't have a farm of my own yet but I'm trying to use my 3 acres to the best of their ability. I'm working on my husband to get chickens. He's a tough nut to crack but the kids and I are working on him. I'm really looking forward to getting to know y'all.

Posted - Jul 19 2009 : 8:32:50 PM Welcome Anna. I know several farmgirls that live on 3 acres and less. I hope you get lots of chickens. I love chickens, but I have too many outside cats (5) and one dog that would not like to have chickens around. LOL Enjoy your time with the MJF. Marly

Posted - Jul 19 2009 : 6:21:38 PM Welcome by another pa farm girl. Pa is a great place to live, i have lived here all of my life but just recently I have moved to a the country. I now live on a 150 cow farm with my boyfriend (soon to be husband!). At first i was so bored and all i smelled was that "fresh country air". That did take some getting used to, but now i adore it! Were getting our own house across from the farm next year and get to move out of the old farm house. I'm from around the State College area.
Have a great time! and good luck

Posted - Jul 17 2009 : 09:10:34 AM Hi and Welcome, Anna!
I would love to have chicken too. Our city doesn't allow chicken within city limits...just another good reason to move to a small town.
Hope you have lots of fun here! Joyce |
