Posted - Feb 07 2010 : 10:17:56 AM Hi girls! I'm a new "farmgirl" from Indiana. I am having fun on this site, but I can't quite figure out how to find mail that someone sent me. Any help would be appreciated!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Greg and we live with our 4 horses, 2 bunnies, and a barn cat! I am originally a "city" girl now living in the country, and I love it!! My husband has expanded my horizons and taught me soooo much! I am even taking horseback riding lessons and certainly never thought I would have a horse of my OWN let alone 4 of them!!!! Just wish SPRING would "spring"!!! |

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 3:47:19 PM Hi Linda as you can see you just get hooked. You just keep reading and before you know it you are not lost any more. Join some groups or swaps on the bargain site then you will have more enjoyment and learning as you go. The only other mag that I thought was worth the money is Mother Earth News which I still get. Hi again I am Lilly from Virginia.

Posted - Feb 07 2010 : 3:06:11 PM Hi Kris, thanks for the welcome!! Gosh...I'm sorry to hear that Georgia sounds like Indiana right now (except that we have snow). I sell AFLAC insurance and our headquarters is in Columbus, GA!! Yes, I am VERY close to Noblesville - what a small world!! I actually live in Westfield but our address is Sheridan because of the post office.

Posted - Feb 07 2010 : 2:55:36 PM Perfectly said, Gerri!! Also, I think some of the stories/illustrations in MJF are worthy of tearing out and framing!! Sooooo cute!!! I just ordered the Sisterhood necklace and can't wait for it to come!! It is a cold, snowy day here in Indiana and I think I am getting the hang of this chating!!... Gosh....I haven't gotten a thing done today that I intended to!!!

Posted - Feb 07 2010 : 2:12:26 PM I agree Linda MJF magazine is the best publication that supplies the interest for all of us Farmgirls. I have subscribed to a number of different "country" magazines just to flip through pretty pictures and advertisements. MJF gives us useful information for everyday living. I can even reread older publications and still find something that I may have missed. That's what sparked my interest. I even purchased back issues.
As you hold onto that, the gals here are very informative and you can usually find out such valuable information through all the forums.
