I'm Kate. Dionne told me about this place...so here I am! I'm impressed to see so many other Ga girls here. I live outside of Metro Atl; NE...between Lilburn and Lawrenceville, if you know where that is.

I'm 45, married a long time, 3 sons...two grown men, and one preteen. A large dog, a small puppy, 5 cats and a large toad complete our family. The boys were/are homeschooled.

I garden organically (not as much as I'd like), have learned to knit, I sew a little ( I make great hems.....it's the rest of the garment I haven't figured out)!

I am also a doula and childbirth educator when I'm not driving a special needs bus.

I can, mostly pickles, tomatoes and used-to-be dried beans. I'm definitely the make do, make it over type...I'd much rather "shop at home" to see if I can turn what I have into what I need with a little creative thinking.
I'm not afraid of power tools, like to do my own auto maintenance, and pretty much anything I have the physical strength to do. I also can walk in 4" heels, never leave the house without makeup and my toenails always match what I'm wearing! :)

Karen, I just looked up Meansville...it sounded vaguely familiar. Now I know why; I have a friend with some land off the Flint River, in Woodbury, and we drive down from Gwinnett every year to camp out with a big group of friends...we've been going there for years, and take the "back" roads, rather than 75 S.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, and hello to you all!

Fiddlehead Farm is a great name Diane! OMG..how did you guess I have red hair? Is there a hidden camera somewhere?! ;o)

Just kidding...it's not as naturally red as it once was, but me and Loreal are holding the line...
