Hi - I am new to MaryJaneFarms. I love the magazine and this is my first day on line to chat. We have 6 chickens that I call "The Ladies". They are awesome. My daughter just loves them. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Thanks.

Hi Lori Welcome ! I'm new too, glad to meet you, I have chickens too, 2O egg layers, and a couple of Silkies . Their egg laying has let up right now, guess the cold weather.

Hi, Lori,
This is my first day at the Farmgirl connection. I have been getting the magazine for a while and just love it. I also have chickens but only three at this time. I have always just loved chickens-don't know exactly why. I think it is, not only because they are so cute but they also give back something - eggs. My husband and I are also raising Alpacas. We adore them but are really getting an education. Several died last year from excess heat in the summer.
I must say, all you ladies sound so fun and inspiring. I am sure to enjoy this.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Lori, welcome! You'll love this site......there's some seriously nice women here. Also, there's a wealth of information, too if you're a new farm gal.

Give your chicken's a 'hello' for me!
