Posted - Jul 09 2008 : 4:50:55 PM I'm terribly sorry, but I've lost track of your contact info. Someone contacted me about buying 5 carpetbagger style purses made from flour sacks (for a website, maybe?). It was a quilter and she had a website relating to her quilting group, I think. I sent photos of the uncut flour sacks that I have but never heard back. Now I can't find the email.

Christina, I try not to wash the sacks, but occasionally have to due to how/where they've been stored. I've had success with Woolite or Ivory Snow (slightly less than the recommended amount), COLD water and either hand washing or machine wash on the GENTLE cycle. DON'T SOAK THE SACKS at all, they will fade (as they were meant to). Hope this helps...
