Posted - Jan 23 2007 : 07:21:24 AM Let me throw my two cents in here too. I have been making candles for about three years now. I experimented with them for two years before that working on my "recipe" before I came up with what I consider to be a quality candle. I make mine in a wide variety of scents in the eight ounce jelly jars. Kathy

Posted - Dec 24 2006 : 5:31:10 PM When I was a beekeeper years ago I made some hand dipped ones out of my beeswax - it was fun and nice smelling when I used them. |

Posted - Dec 24 2006 : 10:12:44 AM I started out making them just for me. We lost power here just the other night and it was particularly nice to be able to light the house with candles that won't stain and wash up easily if it spills (we have house kitties).
Right now we have to really get the wood stove rocking before I can start melting wax otherwise they do weird things when they cool. Although I kinda prefer a jump line or three and tend to make them on purpose. ;)
I have a tee tiny etsy shop, you girls made that look so fun I had to try it.

Posted - Dec 24 2006 : 12:00:54 AM I tired my hand at candles. Decided it's not something that I want to do. But I would love to buy some nice candles from a Farmgirl -- jar candles or votives.
