Posted - Oct 13 2010 : 7:31:31 PM I had my Young Cultivators working on friendship bands for their badge earlier this month. Now one of my girls is recruiting others to make friendship bands to take to Haiti. Her grandfather will be taking them on a mission trip to orphans as they help rebuild an orphanage that was affected by the earthquake. I'm so proud that I'm teary-eyed.

Posted - Oct 14 2010 : 10:37:49 AM I just gotta say, both you and your Young Cultivators are doing a remarkable job Christy. Everyone here at the farm loves seeing what projects your kiddos are working on. Keep up the great work!

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
