Posted - Mar 16 2010 : 11:36:31 AM Ok, so awhile ago I was chatting with Kpaints about the colors she is planning on incorporating into her '59 Aljo (my trailers twin sister)...and tho I think I know the color direction she is going in,,,I am a bit reluctant to buy goodies(shhh! don't tell her) for her trailer "T.T."... then while in Wally World the other day I walked passed the paint counter...and it dawned on me ...(doesn't take a load of bricks to get my attention )...hmmm, what about having her look at the "color chips" in the paint department and collect a few in the colors she is planning to use...then share them w/her BFF-junktiqing buddette (me) so when I am out and about and spot something I can confer w/my paint chips to see if it is the right color... These chips are also great for using as samples for quilting(fabric) projects too!. I asked the clerk if I could take a few chips even tho they were not intended for paint, and he said, not a problem... These chips are also great for scrap-book/card making too! Any other ideas?

Posted - Mar 30 2010 : 10:59:23 AM LOVE Paintchips hehe. And wallpaper samples as well. Whenever I am in either a DIY or a wallpaper store (which doesn't happen often because they are both far OFF the beaten track duh) I always take chips and wallpaper samples. Just to scrapbook etc. Easy and free YAY!!

Posted - Mar 26 2010 : 07:18:04 AM I went to HOme Depot and asked for a whole book of old paint colors. I glued the chips to boards and made wall art out of them. My 17 yo dd, even lined the inside of her closet with paint cards as wallpaper. We couldn't do anything else with the old horsehair plaster. Paper wouldn't stick, the joint compound wasn't sticking, could't nail paneling to it, so we got some heavy duty epoxy and glue paint cards to it. A little Andy Warhol-ish, but very colorful and happy!
