Posted - Apr 21 2012 : 6:58:10 PM Found one at the thrift store for $1.00. About the same size as the plastic yarn holders at Joanns with the hole in the center. I wanted a new yarn holder but I do not like the hole in the middle because what if I get tired of that project and want to switch? Enter the trusty Dremel tool and a cut off wheel. I cut a slit in the top all the way through the edges to the middle and lined the edge with electricians tape so the thread would not catch. Now I do not have to cut the thread to do another project. The slit in the lid is not big enough to weaken the lid and it slides off and on easily.

A rind is a terrible thing to waste. Compost.
When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” -Jesus in John 6:12 NIV Bible |
