Posted - Mar 01 2013 : 08:19:04 AM My sister was at at tag sale and found 4 HUGE bags of wool yarn for $5.00!!! The problem is when we got it home we found that most of it has been cut into two foot pieces. We did get a few balls but can I do with all the two foot pieces?? Latch hooking a rug was a thought but it won't happen. Any ideas? Thanks, Liz

Posted - Mar 02 2013 : 10:18:21 AM Well I came up with one idea, I started tying the pieces to gether, wound it into a ball and started to make slippers. I'm hoping the knots don't drive me nuts! We'll see how it goes.

Liz, what about using it for soft nesting material for the chickies? Am I off base there? Is it too expensive for that?

Posted - Mar 01 2013 : 09:12:37 AM what about latch hooking cushion covers instead? Far quicker and more do-able than a rug ( where if like me you start to give up the will to live by the end of it :) Or... or... or.. - oh incoming brain wave ! - what about using them in an Easter wreath somehow?

Posted - Mar 01 2013 : 08:30:43 AM Oh my! I don't have any suggestions but I understand what you mean. Occasionally I've purchased fabric from thrift stores, all packaged up nice and neat and when opened, find that it is in small pieces! A bit aggravating and disappointing. I'm a bit more "aggressive" now . . I'll try to get a better peek of the package if possible. Wishing you the best on finding ideas for projects! CJ
