What's yours?? Something you love to accessorize with...give an outfit a bit of farmgirl flair??

My favorites are my cowgirl boots, a chunky strand of pearls (*sigh* not REAL pearls), and my fav reddish/crimsonish nail polish.

Every time I see this come up on Etsy (a fave seller, but no affiliation), I think it is the perfect necklace for an MJF farmgirl:

Right now I just wear my new wedding ring (always), and a watch and bracelet sometimes. Last year someone broke into our house and stole all my jewelry. I didn't wear it a whole lot, but still. On another post I was saying how I love scarves and am going to get some soon.

Very classic.

Well, gals, I have a new favorite accessory coming... Ever since I saw them in the first two MJ books, I have been lusting after a pair of lace-up ankle boots. But I didn't know what they were... They're similar to my Ariat English riding paddock boots, similar to Ariat kiltie lacers, but with a western heel. They're in the pictures by the homemade hammock...

Took me forever to find some but I lucked out and my new PACKER BOOTS (for that's what they are) from Double H are on their way, courtesy of Amazon (and at a big discount due to some Amazon points burning a hole in my pocket! WOO HOO!)

I think they'll be awesome for when I do my daily chores but perhaps want to wear a skirt for a day, or just trade off from my (indispensable for farm work!) North Face ankle-support boots. And I will be able to fit my handknit socks in them, suzifire!

Lord knows, the first thing to go on a farm is your feet if you're wearing Keds! Learned that lesson the hard way - (cue Mr. Rogers voice) "Can we say, 'plantar fasciitis'?"

But don't you just hate it when you get horse manure or other barnyard "stuff" caught in your jewelry?? LOL ......That's why I have to soak mine in a cleaning solution each night!

But still, I won't go without wearing it!

A friend and I have begun collecting artisan beads for Pandora/Biagi-type bracelets from artists on Etsy. It started as a way of rewarding ourselves for weight loss, but turned into a means of retail therapy when our husbands would tick us off.

Needless to say, our bracelets filled up much more quickly than they would have the other way.

Necklaces. Funky old fashioned/vintage looking. Otherwise a great pin-also old looking.
Or I don't wear any accessories. I am "boring" as my aunt calls it. I prefer the term classy.

Hats! I have the best assortment of old wool hats, you know the kind old ladies (that would be me) wore fifty years ago. I'm hoping to find my hat book to make some summer ones. Jewelry is always fun too...
