Posted - Apr 10 2009 : 08:34:01 AM I have a wedding to go to on the 27th and it is a "dress nice" wedding, which I take to mean semi formal... it is in the evening, can I wear strappy black heels or is that a no-no? it has been donkey's years since I've been to a wedding I don't know what is ok anymore. I don't know what I'm wearing otherwise, kind of depends on the weather...I may go buy something semi-formal for the occasion. But I need a bit of advice. I can always get dye-to-order shoes from Payless shoe stores if the black ones won't do. I'm getting my hair and nails done and am on a bit of a budget...HELP!!!!!

Posted - Apr 11 2009 : 08:14:09 AM I agree! Wear what you have and what you feel comfortable in! When I went to a wedding this past fall I wore some strappy black heels. They were pretty and I enjoy wearing them!

Posted - Apr 11 2009 : 03:14:47 AM the no "toe cleavage" rule really doesnt apply anymore. go ahead and wear the strapy black heels if you want and a semi formal dress (tea lenth or longer) and you'll be set. if you decided to buy a dress, make sure it really is something you WILL wear again! have fun!
