So whats your favorite purse? I keep going between a super stylish purple croc-looking bag that gets compliments where ever I go, and my hand tooled leather purse that Farmall Chick bought me at Farm Fair. I have another hand tooled leather purse that I got at Quarter Horse Congress a few years back but the straps are constantly falling down. So what's your favorite farm girl purse? Post pics if you can!

I am stuck on Vera Bradley I like the softness of carrying a cloth bag, and I love all the pockets inside. And I can wash them, and buy light for summer and dark for winter.

Finally found the purse I was looking for! It's brown with a very long shoulder strap. It's (p)leather with microsuede details and fringes on the front! And the best part of it all is that I got it 40% off! The last Fashion Bug in my area is closing though so that's the sad part of it, even though they were having a good sale.

My favorite is the longaberger small shopping tote, my second favorite is a deep red soft leather brighton, jodi I think it is. I have to have a sturdy well made purse, I am hard on them.

I have this great purse that I got from Duluth Women (the Duluth Trading Company) that is a rather average sized tote, with all kind of cool compartments. It has an elastic outer mesh pocket for DD's juice cups, a velco-flapped outer pocket for my keys or DD's snacks, a regular outer pocket, and a front zipped organizer pocket that is almost the size of the entire front of the tote! I keep EVERYTHING in there! It's the best purse ever. It's kind of plain (Khaki and brown) and I keep telling myself that I should embellish it somehow, but I can't decide on what to do, so it's stayed plain. Besides it's plainness, it's awesome! The tote part is big enough for a diaper pack, book, knitting, whatever you need/want to throw in there. I love it!

I love funky purses. I even have a pumpkin purse for halloween. When I had shoulder issues my doctor told me to "get rid of all the extra stuff" It's amazing what you can do without if you have to. HOWEVER, I still love purses. So I carry a small one now, but it still is funky. I'm ready to make a "Chicken" Purse. Not a chicken, but with chickens on it. When I get done I will post a picture.

I'm a sucker for purses! I have a small collection of them...some expensive, some not. I usually use the ones that are cheaper and can take a beating. I'm pretty hard on them..throw them around and such. I haven't bought one in a while as I have enough already. I like the shoulder tote types that can carry a lot of stuff.

After losing weight (RNY) I sort of went shoe and purse crazy (well, clothes too for the first year) and think I nearly have one in every color. Storage is awful...my little house has no good places to hide things so purses are inside of purses inside of purses. <G> The most expensive one was my 'at goal' purchase of a Dooney and Burke. So sorry too, one of the magnetic catches broke and if I want to get it repaired I have to take a chance on the mail and send it back to them to see if they'll even fix it. Nuh-uh. It will just stay broken and safe and sound here. No more expensive purses like that for me. Either they're sewn or mostly they come from TJ Maxx. But all my purses have to cram into my little locker at work so they can't be outrageously fun-sized.

I love purses...especially tote bags..which I tend to use most..since I love to have a paperback book and a small knitting project in there all the time too. (I hate waiting without being I tend to switch to a different bag every few weeks. I have stuck with the same one all summer...a red and black Tom Bihn knitting bag. It is a great bag for me except that I fill it so full that it weighs a ton. I am ready to switch back to smaller for awhile. I must have 15 or 20 different tote bags. I use regular purses most in winter when I need to top to close..snow you know...must most often a tote bag.

I love purses toooo much. Small ones are ok but I prefer bigger ones that hold a magazine and a book along with a note book for ideas I might get while out :) I have a few leather ones but I find myself drawn to cloth bags.

The problem that I have with multiple purses is that I carry too much garbage/lipsticks/pens/loose change etc...that IF and WHEN I decide to switch purses, I leave the "garbage" in the last purse and only transfer over the necessities to the new bag. Thus, I end up with several bags full of junk :)

I love purses. I have several and right now I'm in the market for another one. I want one with a longer strap that doesn't fall off my shoulder when I'm walking. The one I'm carrying right now does that and it's really annoying, especially on longer walking trips. Usually in the winter I carry a darker colored purse, and a lighter one during the Spring/Summer.

I think half my problem with finding the 'right' purse is the straps. I'd really like for it to have ONE strap - that stays up! I can't stand straps constantly falling down...so that's my way of making it okay to buy another!

I have a tendency to stick to a plain old cheap black purse during the school year (I'm a teacher consultant) and in the summer I switch to a lighter convertible hiking bag/lumbar pack. Where I fall apart is tote bags! I mean...it must be the teacher in me but I LOVE tote bags! The problem is I'll find one...load it up with say...knitting...and then it can't be used for anything else...so naturally, I NEED another tote bag! (LOL)

I have a half dozen or so to choose from. I can't say as I love any of them though. Well maybe one- it's on the small side and fits everything I need. Things are easy to find in it too. Big plus for me!! But it's seen better days. It's a cheapie from Wal-Mart and the strap is starting to split. The perfect purse for me-- there would have to be a place for everything I carry and everything would have to be easy to get to and go with anything I'm wearing. Oh oh oh and not cost a small fortune. LOL

That purse is Uber-farmgirl! The flowers remind me of yo-yo's. I like purses that are small but roomy. I have an all-purpose one from REI but I like to vary my purses with the seasons. I bought one for fall that looks like it was made from an Indian blanket. The last one I bought was from Goodwill. It's a Fossil purse--I've heard of the name but I don't know anything about that brand. I want to try making a purse for winter from a felted sweater. I have some purse that are twenty years old. Kind of like an old friend...

I carry one I made for myself. It is perfect because I adjusted the pockets to fit my cell phone etc. I love the size, the fabric and the straps stay up.[IMG]http://i8

For the last 3 years I've been carrying a black leather Coach "soho" bag with a silver round buckle. I like it--it's smaller, fits on my shoulder nicely and looks sleek and professional or great with jeans.

If I'm up for a change, it's usually a vintage bag with birds all over it. I'm not much of a changer, though--have a good universal bag, it's all you need.

Hey, I love the Quarter Horse Congress...my dad was always the Steward for the races, Dawn!
