Posted - Oct 25 2009 : 3:01:42 PM Wanted to share that here in the Sierras it gets nippy come winter and years ago I started buying 100% cotton thermal tops and bottoms on sale in the men's department, since they were less expensive that the women's, and then I would dye a set to match each of the dresses I wear during the day.
So I now have purple, light blue, pink, yellow, beige, red, brown, lavander, light orange sets. Then I did needlework on the collar and cuff (both top and bottoms). Some have wild flowers, some have flowers and French sayings, some have sheep, some have chickens etc. And they make me feel more feminine and I get a lot of nice comments.
Have even made them as gifts for friends who love them. Have a nice black cotton dress for nicer occasions and I made a set that are black, but I did lots of tiny bead work on them. One white set I have has pretty tiny lace trim.
And if I can ever learn how to add pictures here I will share some photos.
